I used to be so obsessed with this franchise.

Literally the only reason that I stopped being obsessed with .hack is that, in the fourth main video game, I got completely stuck and required a lot of item grinding to proceed around the same time that my real life got busy; therefore, I had to put the game on hold, and by the time I went back, I forgot what I had to do, which meant I more or less had to start the game series over in order to regain my inertia.  I never did.

I fully intend to go back at some point, because this series a master at world building and mythology.  I was intensely pulled in.
